Control Philips light bulb with your Apple device

Philips is now a part of smart home fixations by introducing smart home electronics, starting with the "Hue" smart LED bulb. It's more than just your average light bulb because this bulb will allow users to personally control the dimmer of the light bulb - all from an iPhone or iPad.

The light bulbs can be controlled with the Philips Hue app and it can allow users to set the moods, change colors of the bulbs and even set timers to sync with an users daily schedule. It comes preset with 4 "Light Recipes" which are pre-programmed light settings based on research of how lighting can be used to help users concentrate, relax or energize.

A starter pack of three bulbs that are 50 watt equivalent bulbs are available starting today at the Apple store for only $199. Individual packs are available starting at $59.
